Hoover-Fisher Florist has been more than just your local florist; we are a family owned and operated business that is proud to support our community in many ways. We give back to our community through various donations to educational programs, elder care programs, medical research and community events. We are also proud members of the Silver Spring and Bethesda Chamber of Commerce.

Our History

For over 68 years, Hoover-Fisher Florist has been a successful part of the floral industry. Because of the outstanding level of personal attention given to our customers, what began as a small family business has grown into one of our area’s most well respected florists. Bill Fisher, the second generation of the Fisher family to own and operate the shop and children Allie Salkeld and Mason Fisher, understands their customers’ needs and are committed to making your floral purchases as easy and pleasant as possible.

Our years of research and experience have given us extensive knowledge of the premier flower growers in the world. This enables us to provide the highest quality fresh cut flowers and plants, which are specially arranged by our talented designers. We have confidence in our ability to satisfy any customer’s needs, from the simplest arrangement to the most sophisticated design. This combination of superior products and excellent personnel allows us to guarantee your order, 100%.

However, you are not limited to only flowers and plants here at Hoover-Fisher Florist. Our full scale Gift Shop offers you a large selection of unique items to choose from. Our Sales Associates are known as experts in helping you to select the perfect addition to your home or a gift for any occasion.


How do I pay for my order?

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. If you have an account with our shop, you may pay by entering your account number when ordering.

Are there any delivery charges or tax?

A local delivery fee of $12.95 – $19.95 will be added to each order, for each address.
There is a 6% sales tax all products. There is no tax on delivery and service fees.

What about substitutions?

Not all flowers are available year-round. Some flowers are seasonal or only available regionally. When they are not available, the closest substitute will be used. Also some plants are only available during certain seasons or in certain regions. In such case, we will substitute the closest type of plant at an equal or higher value. Some containers may not be available during holidays, and in such cases a similar container will be used. If you do not want any part of your order substituted as needed, please mention this when ordering.

What holiday’s are you closed?

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

How do I cancel my order?

To cancel your order, please call us at (800)785-2010 or (301)593-4700 as soon as possible. Have your ticket number available for us to facilitate your request quickly.

What about orders going outside of the US?

To place an order for delivery outside of the US, please call us at least 3 days before your requested delivery date so we can guarantee delivery on that date. There are special conditions and pricing that apply to international orders. We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the internet.

Is the arrangement in the photo exactly what will be delivered?

Each bloom is unique, therefore no two arrangements will be identical. The style, types of flowers, arrangement of the flowers and container will be the same or similar (see “What about substitutions?” above). The photos are provided as a guide for you and the designer of your arrangement.

Save up to 20% on your order with our Forget Me Not Program. Like to plan ahead? Have a busy schedule? Don’t want to forget important dates? Let us help you! And even better, you save money!

Here’s how it works:
Go through your yearly calendar and select all the different occasions you would like to send someone flowers. Birthday, anniversary, holidays, or just surprise someone once a month with no reason at all! Once you have all your dates together, call our friendly sales staff and supply us with delivery dates and card messages for your orders. Leave the rest up to us. Now you can kick back, relax and enjoy the rest of the year!

Rush Delivery:

Sometimes you forget to send a gift – we’ve got you covered! We offer a same-day rush delivery service. Call us for delivery rates.

Recurring order program:

Set up an order with us weekly, bi weekly or monthly. We will automatically schedule deliveries to be made and you get to pay as you go. This a great program for businesses or to enjoy flowers in your home!

Corporate Accounts

Hoover-Fisher Florist considers our corporate and professional customers preferred accounts! A Corporate Account will enable you to keep track of all your floral purchases. We will send you a monthly statement, with individual invoices available upon request. Our system also keeps a record of all addresses delivered to, which makes future ordering fast and simple. Your account will be custom tailored to your needs. Payment can be made by check or credit card. (Billing accounts must be approved)
